Pancakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally learned how to make pancakes and boy are my dosa days over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!they're much simpler to make and much tastier!!!!!:)...and there ain't any "not Indian..unavailable in India" sort of ingredients either!!!!which is the most frustrating part of making non-Indian foods...there is also the chocolate pancakes...but trust me..they ain't that good as the good old simple "how we Indians see it in the pictures" pancakes...:P..so..I'll first list out the Ingredients..which are pretty elemental...

the thing abt pancakes is you have to make two mixtures and then combine them....so..for the first mixture..(in a slightly bigger bowl as we have to but the other mixture into this one...)

sifted flour aka maida- 1 1/2 cups (make sure u sift it cause when sifted..its slightly more than unsifted flour)
baking powder -1 1/2 teaspoon (u can add it to the flour while sifting it so that it will be evenly distributed over the given area...:)...)
a pinch of salt
sugar- this is not exactly necessary cause the maple syrup is sweet enough..but those with a sweet tooth..u can put in abt 4 -5 tablespoons..

the second mixture

beaten egg-1 (not too beaten..)
milk-1 cup
vanilla essence-not really necessary..but i like chumma putting it..;)..maybe a teaspoon..
vegetable oil (coconut oil would do)-3 tablespoons

now pour the second mixture into the first one and mix it..don't do it for long cause of the baking powder..(don't ask!!my mom keeps on saying that..I have no fudging idea!!!!!)

then take a spoon and put the required batter on a dosa kall..(see..i told u its easier..u dont need a specific pancake kall aka tava....u can just use the dosa tava...:)..)wait till bubbles come before u turn it over....it should be at low heat and wait till the tava heatens before pouring the batter...

and the classic way to have pancakes is with butter and maple syrup ..but u can substitute the maple syrup with honey or even chocolate sauce!!!and don't worry..we actually get maple syrup in india!!in kerala!!!in kottayam!!!!at sugar and spice!!!!!:D :D..(not exactly maple syrup but pancake syrup with 2% maple syrup!!but it's still pretty close...;)..)

and voila!!!there u have it!!!!the all american pancake!!! enjoy!!!!
